Hermann Area EMS is a tax supported emergency medical service, staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Hermann Area Ambulance District provides advanced life support, basic life support, medical standby, and critical care transport for the residents and visitors of Hermann, Missouri and surrounding areas.

Starting pay for EMT and Paramedics is increased with prior years of working experience. Guaranteed raises are set by years of service with the district as well as pay increases for paramedics, critical care paramedics, and community paramedics.
Full-time employee benefits include LAGERS retirement with retirement age being 55. The district covers 100% employee health care, vision, dental and life insurance coverage. Full-time members work a 48/96 rotation, receive vacation time, personal time yearly.
Part-time employees are required to work a minimum of 24 hour per month. Shifts are in 12 hour increments and range from 12-48 hours upon availability.
